Robert and Jillian soon learned that an innocent-sounding phone call might not be what it
seemed, or that some pleasant looking stranger, asking for directions, might be looking for
something else. Even a new neighbor had to be treated as suspect.
The bond between Robert and Jillian as pilots excited their sexual attraction for each other. The

Airplanes and birds have always fascinated people, and often pilots are awed by the skills of

brave and daring. All pilots live by the code, “to do no harm to people on the surface”; even
though at times their own lives may be in danger. The road Jillian and Robert chose to follow was
not the one most of us travel, it twisted and turned and was full of surprises, danger, and
challenges. They were on this road because of who they were, and it was the road that was right
